Understand your “being”. More than that, knowing something is very different from being something. Just because you know something does not mean that you have become something. Do you agree? For example, knowing that during emergencies you should remain calm and not panic is very different from actually being calm when disaster strikes. Just because you know something does not mean that you have become something. Being what you are supposed to be is the source of your success in life. It depends entirely on your authenticity. When you are true to your nature, you naturally generate a different way of being than your default way of being in that situation. So for example, a believer who is being a follower of Christ will not resort to his default way of sinning. Instead, he will turn towards a different way; a way that is true to his nature as a redeemed man of God. He will turn to his spiritual nature, rather than the flesh. Otherwise, he is just being a sinner. When you are true to your nature, you naturally generate a different way of being than your default way of being in that situation. You are not a believer based on just what you know from the Word of God, but because of how you have placed this Word into practice. You need to be the child of God. Knowing how a child of God must act is meaningless if you have not actually become one in the way you think, speak, and live your life. The Apostle Paul reveals to us a powerful truth, he said, “For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”Here, Paul is discussing about the significance of understanding your true nature, your true state of being, so that you will not be deceived. Deception is the opposite of authenticity. Being a victim of deceit will push you to live a life without integrity because you are living against the nature of your being. If you take on the nature of being nothing, in this nothingness, you can be anything. Oftentimes, you relate yourself to a “something”: a high school dropout, someone who lives in the projects, or a single mom. What do these things do? How does viewing yourself as these “somethings” affect you? They actually limit you. They take away the possibility to be anything. On the other hand, if you take on the nature of being nothing, in this nothingness, you can be anything. Werner Erhard teaches us: One creates from nothing. If you try to create from something you’re just changing something. So in order to create something you first have to be able to create nothing. What now1. Who do you think are you being?2. Based on your way of being, who are you being?3. Is there a lack of alignment between who you know youare and who you are being?Act now! Watch your future come alive now!
